Iyanahalli village is situated at a distance of about 8 kms from chikmagalur town towards north of balehalli village .The population of the village and growth rate is indicated above. The population of the village is 90 as per census 2001.Hence seeing the growth rate from 1961 to 2001, there is an gradual increase from 1961 to 1991 where the growth rate has increased from 11.90 to 16.83%,but a sudden fall has been happened in 2001 where the growth rate has decreased to 23.12%.From 1991 to 2001 there is an increase of households from 17 to 18.

 

The occupation pattern describes the economic status of the village. Seeing the occupation structure of the village it is mainly depended on primary sector that is cultivation .Proportion of cultivators is 92.0%, out of which 92.0% are males compared to total population. In work participation ratio, we can find out only male workers are involved in occupation. We cannot find a female participation in occupation. Agricultural laborers are also male and these are only 8.0% .Hence we can see mainly this village is involved in primary activities and nil participation in secondary and terriatiary activities.

 

From the above table-17   we can see the sex ratio of the village is 915 which is less compared to the Chikmagalur which is 957.But sex ratio between 0-6 is only 500.  

 

Coming to the literacy rate, we can see 84.0 percent of the people are literates compared to the total population. Out of which 90.2% are males and 71.5% are females .There is no   primary school in the village limits.
